Test Automation Framework Engineer

Your Key Responsibilities Would Include:

•Develop and maintain the Test Automation Framework architecture and implementation of such (py.test/Python based).
•Develop and maintain the auto test setups in our labs, requiring hands-on work with Infinera’s products, commercial instruments etc.
•Act as the Auto Test Product Owner for one of Infinera Metro’s main auto test frameworks.
•Work with product Design & Architecture teams (in Stockholm and partly in Bangalore, India) in understanding the feature requirements on test automation framework support.
•Implementation and improvement of test automation FW: Coding review, coding standards, new development as well as maintenance, interface specifications, and internal documentation.
•Provide expertise and support in automated testing.
•Provide technical guidance and act as Product Owner for a virtual auto test development team.

Education & Experience Necessary For Success:

Required:

•Candidates should have a Master’s Degree or higher in relevant field and or equal working experiences.
•At least 5 years’ experience in development of test automation framework.
•Ability to write clear, maintainable code with proper documentation.
•Demonstrated verbal, written communication skills and attention to details.
•Strong background in SW engineering practices: automation infrastructure for test, componentization, release engineering, agile methodology.
•Programming & Scripting knowledge: py.test/Python required, preferably also Java, C++ and a good understand of object oriented programming.
•Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence etc. API and CLI design skills.
•Hands-on experience in automation tools and CI environment like Jenkins, GIT, Bitbucket
•Ability to interact effectively with global cross-functional teams.

Preferred:

•Networking experience (Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, etc.).
•Experience from Layer 2 switching network architecture and use of test equipment from e.g. IXIA, Spirent, Viavi.
•Proven ability to influence cross-functionally at senior levels, including SW, HW, Architecture, and Technical Support.
