ACCEDO: FOR ALL VIDEO SERVICE PROVIDERS EMBRACING CHANGE
Accedo is the trusted video experience transformation pioneer improving the lives of video consumers by the hundreds of millions.
Over the years, Accedo has earned the trust of the world’s leading video service providers – customers to whom two goals are paramount: explore new opportunities to monetise video and transform video services to meet rapidly changing consumer expectations. Accedo customers include global video service leaders like NBCUniversal, Fox, Disney, HBO, Telefonica, Deutsche Telekom and Netflix, among many others.
The company was founded in 2004 on a simple observation: emerging technologies will transform how people watch television and consume video, but video service providers will struggle to keep up with the complexities of the new landscape.
This insight has led Accedo to create a single, modular cloud platform for building, transforming and growing state of the art video experiences. By using Accedo customers shorten time-to-market, improve operational agility and efficiency and boost monetisation capabilities.
The company is growing rapidly, powering thousands of video experiences across tens of platforms for hundreds of customers all over the world.

We are looking for new talent that can strengthen our products engineering team and help accelerate our work on cloud services! Cloud services refer to our backend web services & systems that power the Accedo One video experience platform.
It’s an ever-changing tech landscape
Engineers in the team tend to be polyglot which has resulted in a collection of microservices that are implemented using a number of different stacks, e.g. Java/Spring, Go and Node.js/Typescript/Javascript.
We’re actively pursuing the new paradigm of serverless applications to find suitable patterns/use-cases, which means you’ll be working with infrastructure & software like AWS ECS, AWS Lambda, AWS APIG, MongoDB, Redis, ELK etc.
Engineering culture
The team has an engineering-mindset where members use their toolsets to solve a broad range of tasks. Software development is a big part of that but noting that it’s still only a subset of what we see as software engineering. As an example, even though there’s an operations team with the overall responsibility of support-systems like build servers, engineers work with the full app/dev lifecycle and are as such ultimately responsible for having proper build pipelines (which may involve scripting, testing new tools etc.). Another example is that software engineers work closely with QA engineers, collaborating on solutions for system/performance testing.
