We are now looking for a Machine Learning & Analytics Engineer to join our Analytics team.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a Machine Learning & Video Analytics Engineer you will be part of the innovative Analytics competence group within Core Technologies. We develop advanced machine learning and image analysis algorithms for network devices to be on the market within five years. We deliver a wide range of video analytics functionality at both low and high system levels, aimed at increasing the value of our network products. Our work also include identification of new technology trends, performing technology roadmapping and acting as a competence center within Axis with regard to analytics. 

Your main focus will involve prototyping of analytics algorithms at the research frontline, as well as developing production-ready high-quality algorithms that will run in real Axis systems. Your responsibilities will also include developing and maintaining the infrastructure needed to be able to run the algorithms, as well as developing and integrating the SDKs and APIs needed to use the analytics functionality.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a candidate with the right combination of technical skills and personal characteristics. We expect you to be a skilled and driven hands-on software developer that is able to work with diverse types of software platforms as well as dedicated hardware acceleration for analytics. You probably have an Engineering/Technical Masters degree or equivalent, with a few years of relevant work experience. We want you to be interested in sharing your work with others and work in a team oriented environment. As a person you are open minded and have an innovative mindset. Your skills in English written and oral communication are excellent, ideally also in Swedish. 

In addition to above we believe that you have:

Interest in and experience of machine learning technologies in general and Deep Learning in particular, either through education or professionally.
Knowledge of Deep Learning frameworks like Tensorflow/PyTorch/MxNet or similar.
Knowledge of algorithm development for video analytics.
Experience of working in a Linux environment, and of scripting languages.
Experience in Python and C-programming and an interest to go all the way from algorithms to a product ready implementation.
The following would also be great merits:

Software design and architecture experience.
Experience with Docker, Cloud services, database programming, Git, Gerrit.
Knowledge of implications of limited resources in embedded systems on algorithm development.
