Freespee is now looking for a Lead Mobile Developer to join their engineering team in Uppsala, with offices located in the city center. This is an amazing opportunity for anyone who is eager to be a part of building an entirely new mobile team with a focus on improving our customers’ experiences further.

As Lead Developer you will be leading the development of the Android and iOS mobile applications, and providing management support to other mobile developers. You will be responsible for building long-term and innovative solutions as well as making technology choices and dealing with any architectural issues in collaboration with the Chief Technical Architect. Your ideas will be highly valued and you will carry out your responsibilities with a great deal of autonomy in creating high usability and accessibility for the products end-users.

About you
As a person you are driven, structured and humble. You have excellent communication skills and a great understanding of how to coach a team. You also have a genuine interest in new technologies and see the value in crafting beautiful and testable code, and appreciate the reassurance offered by automated testing.

Responsibilities:
• Design and build SDKs and advanced applications for mobile platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to
define, design, and ship new features
• Unit test code for robustness, including edge
cases, usability, and general reliability
• Work on bug fixing and improving application
performance
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and
implement new technologies to maximize
development efficiency
• Help other mobile developers grow through
coaching, mentoring, professional
development, and management support
• Recruit, onboard and retain talented mobile
developers

Requirements:
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science,
Engineering or a related subject
• Proven working experience in software
development
• Working experience in mobile development
• Have published one or more mobile apps in
Google Play or App Store
• Extensive experience with working with
Android SDK or Objective-C and Cocoa Touch
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Working knowledge of the general mobile
landscape, architectures, trends, and
emerging technologies
• Solid understanding of the full mobile
development life cycle, including automated
testing and building
• Experience working in an agile development
process

Additional qualifications:
• Experience managing other developers
• Experience working in an SaaS company
• Experience with VoIP technologies
