Linux Developer to an international IT-company

MultiMind is looking for a Linux Developer to a world-wide IT company in Kista. Our customer is a global supplier of embedded Linux and real-time operating system solutions with offices around the world. This position will give you the opportunity to work in an international environment with technical skilled colleagues. 

MultiMind is an authorized Staffing and Recruitment Company which mean that you as an employee will be covered by the collective agreement MultiMind follows, such as terms related to sick leave, vacation, pension etc. MultiMind also has a generous benefit program related to health and fitness. This is initially a six month assignment with the possibility for a permanent position directly with our customer after that period.   

Our customer needs to strengthen the Linux development team to be able to deliver on customer commitments. 

As a Linux Developer you will be working with a highly skilled team focusing on agile methodology, such as Scrum. Together you will have the responsibility for the development and maintenance of the Linux distribution. This means that you will be working with a hardware agnostic embedded Linux distribution. The system is running on different hardware architectures and is tailored to meet the desired real-time, virtualization and networking characteristics of the world's embedded communications systems.

Responsibilities include:

* Design, code and integrate software for an embedded Linux distribution (applications, drivers, toolchains)
* Customization, deployment and maintenance of a Linux distribution on different hardware platforms
* Perform unit tests, verification and validation of the product developed
* Interaction with the open source community will also be a part of the job

With offices all over the world our customer has an international atmosphere. Cooperation with engineers from other sites are frequent.

Desired skills: 

* An MSc or BSc in computer science or similar
* Embedded Linux and open source experience
* Scripting knowledge (for example bash, python and perl)
* C/C++
* GIT, make etc
* Knowledge about Yocto Project and tools would be an advantage
* English is mandatory
* Swedish is desired
