Front end developer

At Volumental, we’re passionate about creating a great shopping experience and helping people find the best products for them (both fit and style) - starting with shoes. To do that we 3D scan people’s feet and use AI to find or create shoes that fit you perfectly. This data also helps our customers, mainly world leading brands, to develop better products. We do this by utilizing our beautifully designed high tech software and hardware, at present unparalleled in the global retail industry.

We’re also in a strong growth phase. Since we started rolling out in 2016, our scanners are now in stores in 35 countries and help thousands of people every day find shoes that fit. So we’re a crucial part of making retail more efficient, personalized and sustainable.

What’s your part in this?

To succeed in our mission to transform retail, we need a great user experience. And we can’t guarantee that without great front-end developers. That’s why we’re talking to you right now.

With us, you will get a chance to learn about and work on several layers of the vertical. We are looking to hire two people and you’ll both work collaboratively with our tech team, product owners, and Creative Director to develop, deploy, run and maintain UI and UX aspects of our products. ?You’ll also work with our data scientists to create visual tools to make huge datasets of information enlightening to managers, researchers and store owners. You’ll ?create the UI for our tools to monitor and understand what goes on at any moment in thousands of retail locations world-wide.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
You’ll have lots of opportunities to learn on the job, so don’t worry if you only fulfill half of this wish list so far. We’re excited about you because you:

are a collaborative and kind team member
are open to learning new things and happy to teach others
have low prestige, and are willing to jump in where you’re needed.
Have least two years of experience in frontend development, for example with React, Redux, Bootstrap, Sass, Less or similar libraries , with a good eye for implementing designs.
Extra bonus points if you have the below, but please don’t hesitate to apply even if you haven’t learned these things yet!

have worked with d3.js and similar tools.
have published apps in the AppStore
know your way around back-end code, such as experience with Django
