You can be a part of our Strategy and Innovation Team!

In this role, you will have the chance to strongly influence the behaviour of future cars and be one of the very first to experience them. The Function Integration & Visualisation team is at the forefront when it comes to developing and introducing state-of-the-art methods and tools related to function development, and has collaborations with world leading companies in the gaming and visualisation industry.

Tools and processes can be taught and they are often refined or even replaced over time, but with our current setup it will be easier for you to contribute if you have previous experience from Rational Rhapsody Developer and function development with UML/SysML. Moreover, you will find it easier to be successful in your prototyping if you have practical knowledge within control theory and mechatronics. If you enjoy building gadgets, program apps, or eagerly want to understand how things work, you will feel right at home in this role. To be able to take on a broader role and responsibility, it helps if you have previous experience from application or game development. The complete simulator consists of several parts and they all need to run smoothly both individually and together, therefore it is good to have experience from SW architecture development especially from real-time applications. We collaborate closely with each other in our daily work, so it is good if you are comfortable with the practices of configuration and version management such as Git or subversion. Some of your closest colleagues work with visualisation and user interface development. To be able to assist them or to simply do more diverse tasks, you need some experience from working in a modern game engine, such as Unity or Unreal Engine.

Required qualifications
- University degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Product Development or equivalent
- Proficient in object oriented programming in C++
- Fluent in English (working proficiency)

Understanding of common product development practices, how to systematically go from user needs to a final product. Either from industry or academia (e.g. having worked as or in close collaboration with roles such as function owner/realisation responsible, system architect etc. or having studied product development methodologies at university).
