Stockholm Headhunting has been commissioned to find a Site Reliability Engineer to Soundtrack Your Brand’s Platform Team. Soundtrack Your Brand is a Spotify-backed company that offers music streaming services for businesses. After building an impressive Nordic customer base in the last couple of years, they have now expanded internationally and are currently live in Europe, America, Asia, and Africa.
About the role
As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Soundtrack Your Brand, you belong to operations but work in the development department, which consists of 30 very talented, motivated and humble engineers with experiences from EA, Spotify, Skype, iZettle, Viaplay and Schibsted. Your responsibility is to ensure that SYB always plays the right music, in the right place, at the right time. They accomplish this through automation, machine-learning, monitoring and constant focus on reliability and scalability.
As an SRE in the Platform Team you will be responsible for:
Monitoring and reliability ofthe infrastructure running on the Google Cloud Platform, using Google App Engine and Container Engine (Docker/Kubernetes)the shared services written in Go, Scala and Elixirthe data processing, analysis and reporting services built with Google Dataflow, BigTable, BigQuery, and Tableauexternal and internal SLAsDevelopment of tools for auto-healing features, detecting and resolving anomalies and management of external risks.Proactively preventing outages through tight collaboration with the platform developersIncident management processes, planning and execution of regular fire drillsBackup systems and processes
Soundtrack Your Brand is looking for
You have at least four years of experience from a similar position and you are accustomed to working in a cloud native, containerized environment as a Kubernetes and/or Docker ninja. You have strong experience from working with modern cloud services like Amazon, Azure or preferably Google Cloud and experience from monitoring large distributed systems. Further you are used to managing large Prometheus and Grafana projects and the ingestion, indexing and searching of large quantities of logs in Elastic and Kibana. You have the ability to actively participate in infrastructure design and implementation and you are familiar with agile development methods, Web based services and APIs. Last but not least you have a strong knowledge in networking and TCP/IP protocol.
As a person you are a organized and detail oriented with great social skills. You are fun to work with and an excellent communicator with the ability to communicate well with different parts of the organization. Furthermore you feel comfortable and motivated working in a dynamic environment and preferably you have a great music interest.
