Want to join us on our exciting journey?

Volvo Cars is on an exciting journey, redefining the automotive experience by innovating to make people’s lives less complicated. We offer you a once-in-a-lifetime chance to make an impact in a company with unique opportunities to grow and make a true difference.

The section “Propulsion Diagnostics & Dependability” consists of over a hundred highly motivated engineers. We work with Powertrain diagnostic and dependability in all development phases; from early advanced engineering to after sales market follow up, where we are responsible for strategies, specifications, function development, calibration, verification and legal interpretation for this area.

We continually face stricter regulatory requirements from government agencies worldwide. In addition, the car buyers demand higher quality and faster service at workshops. It is difficult and a real challenge to fulfil the legal demands and at the same time deliver useful root cause fault information at workshops. It means that the diagnostic system must be robust, i.e. no false alarms and no missed alarms. To be able to do that we support the rest of the section with analytic tools and analysis of measurement data from test vehicles and customer cars.

We work in the fields of mathematics and statistics involving among other multivariate methods, machine learning, big data, data mining, etc. We would like to strengthen our data analysis team working with analytic tools development and data analysis.

Main responsibility is development of analytic tools in a Python based data processing framework for largescale analysis of time series data (Sympathy For Data). You will also act as a support to the rest of the section with analysis of measurement data.
