Lead Architect
Are you interested in Cloud technology, Machine learning, API’s and how to build the software to get a good and future-proof system integration platform? Then you might be our new Lead Architect for the Fleet Management and Interoperability platforms.
The market is changing and we are facing new challenges with a big demand of autonomous operations and Interoperability. Digitizing of processes, Edge computing, Situational Awareness, Traffic- and Fleet management are areas we are focusing on. To fulfil the customers’ need of Interoperability and improve their productivity through optimization the System integration platform needs to be designed and developed in a common state-of-the-art architecture.
Job description
As Lead architect you will drive the work with the architecture for all platforms in this area. Your main mission will be to lead the technology development and create platforms to be used by all divisions within Epiroc. The long term goal is to safeguard future-proof platform for Interoperability and mining as a service, with short time to market.
As a Lead architect you will:
- Lead the technology development for System Integration platform, Fleet management and Interoperability
- Be head of the architect forum for System integration Platform and take decisions regarding changes to the architectural platform
- Discuss and communicate the platform strategy and architecture within the organization
- Be responsible for technical road maps and future improvements
- Collaborate with stakeholders and Portfolio management to get requirements on platform functionality growth
- Responsible for training and technology transfer to R&D organization
- Follow the technological development within your field
Personality requirements and qualifications
To succeed in this position you should be passionate about programming and have solid interest and competence within web-, desktop applications and architecture. You need to be self-motivated, creative and motivated by changes, as well as new challenges. We are looking for a team player with the desire to contribute. You are open to learn, improve and have a natural ability to guide and communicate with other people. Proficiency in English is a requirement, as English is our primary language and you will be communicating with colleagues and customers around the globe.
You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer science or similar and have several years of experience in software architect development and system development. You have senior experience within in C#, .net development and database technologies. Experience in agile software development is meritorious.
