Job Description
Do you enjoy solving complex problems and explaining your thinking to others? We are seeking a passionate and experienced software developer to our R&D department, to work with the design and development of the Symsoft technology targeted for real-time and transaction intensive telecom products.
In this role you will design, develop and maintain functionality in the Symsoft platform and in our applications. You will be a part of the full software development lifecycle including requirement analysis, design, testing and documentation. Other parts of the role are to produce documentation such as functional specifications and input to user guides, and to support other departments with technical expertise regarding our technology and products. You will also participate in troubleshooting and problem solving.
We are looking for someone with 1-5 years’ experience from system or software design and experience of working with similar, complex technologies. You have an MSc in Computer Technology/Science, and an understanding of the telecom industry. You are fluent in English, both reading, speaking and writing.
In our R&D department we work with the following technologies:
- Java
- TCP/IP, Diameter, SIP, SS7 and a lot of other signalling protocols
- Databases, primarily Oracle DB
- Linux and Solaris
- GIT and Subversion
- Maven
- Continuous integration based on Jenkins
For this position you can be employed directly by Symsoft or work as an independent consultant.
