Team Manager Technical Design

At Semcon, design is part of our DNA and an important part of our offer: product development with a focus on the end user.
We work with three design approaches: UX design, Product design and Technical design. Each one with a complete set of specialists in its field.
 
To strengthen our position, we are now looking for our new Team Manager Technical Design.  
The Technical Design group is supporting both internal and external customers, mainly within the Transportation and Industrial design process. 
 
Here you will be working with developing our offer within design operations together with our team of 25 employees. The position is of great variance and your time will be invested in leading and developing our employees as well as manage our in-house and satellite projects. You will also be responsible for our consultants on site. You are encouraged to expand your range of contacts and care for your relations to help grow the business.  
 
There is a wide range of competences to support the design process: 
 
- Digital surface modelling of any product - early quick sketch or concept models or a-class models to production 
- Feasibility of a concept to production, such as studio engineering in the automotive design studio 
- Geometry design to prepare digital models to be made as physical models 
- CGI visualization of any product, either as a rendered image, animation, film, augmented or virtual reality 
- Design quality assurance in the studio 
 
To be a match for the position we see that you stand for high end competence and can motivate your employees to a higher level. Above all is your ability to spot talent. You make sure to always keep on top of the newest and latest tools and processes within design operations. We think that you have5-10 years of experience within the area as well as  experience of leadership roles. It is to your advantage to have a circle of contacts within automotive, and to widen and maintain a good relationship with international clients.
