PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The job description covers a highly experienced software test engineer who is capable to test complex TCMS products/applications. The candidate must be capable to work independently based on a product knowledge and know-how about state-of-the-art software engineering methods. The products are integrated in the overall TCMS Platform which is the train control system of a rail vehicle.

YOUR ROLE

• Fulfils the responsibilities and main activities within the assigned project or work package like: Classification Tree Methods (CTM); Test Infrastructure; Test Specification; Test applications; Test Execution; Test Automation; Build Environment Support;
• To work on testing of software products and application including documentation. Gathering of information to solve testing problems. Consider features and constraints like reliability, safety and maintainability in test environment. Decide on the optimum solution for a test approach;
• Identify V&V activities to ensure that requirements, architecture and design specifications are fulfilled;
• Develop necessary mechanisms to optimise the test execution, by automating test specifications and improving the test infrastructure;
• Undertake and report back on progress of the activities allocated by the test lead within the assigned project/work package;
• Ensuring correct time reporting as agreed in the project or work package;

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

- B.Sc. / B.Eng., M.Sc. / M.Eng. degree or Ph.D. graduate In Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electronics and Communication or any other relevant discipline;
- Minimum 3 years of experiences as test engineer;
- Advanced programming skills in C, C++ and C# for software implementation and testing purpose;
- Advanced understanding of software requirements, architecture and design;
- Experience to work in a global engineering environment;
- Team work, flexibility, drive for results and good problem-solving skills;
- English at a business fluent level is mandatory.
