iOS QA Developer

THE POSITION

As an iOS QA Developer you will be part the Viaplay iOS team, whose mission is to maintain and develop the iOS app with new features, keeping it best-in-class and a main entry point to Viaplay. Our team is big and autonomous in delivering code in a brilliant way, so proficient test automation is crucial to be maintained and developed with more test cases and improved test strategies. You will be owner of this, working closely together with the whole team when it comes to writing tests as well as improving processes, hardware, monitoring and other tooling. As a last resort you will have manually testing in place for special features.

But QA is more than automation. As product requirements are defined closely with the team Product owner, the team Designer, and stakeholders across the organization, you will be the one closing the loop by defining scenarios for testability prior to development and ensuring that quality is maintained as new features are developed and released. You will be in the center of the agile process with a holistic view, taking a grip of the development process from a QA perspective.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Youre a passionate developer with an interest in video streaming and software development. You should have a core interest in iOS development and keen to push forward internal development by sharing knowledge and keeping on top of the latest technologies.

If you are currently working either as iOS Developer or with Test Automation within a team of mobile developers at a product company, we believe you are a perfect match.

Successful candidates also meet the following requirements:

• Degree in computer science, computer engineering or an equivalent level of work experience.
• Experience from building iOS apps that are live on AppStore.
• Competent in Swift
• Competent in Automated testing frameworks, especially using Xcode
• Dedication to CI, automation and other efficient workflow-oriented practices.
• Dedication to unit testing, UI-testing and other quality-oriented practices.
• Enthusiasm for Agile software development.

Bonus requirements that will make you stand out from the rest:

• Experience from streaming services
• Experience of working as a Scrum Master
