Software Engineer

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The candidate will be responsible for implementing software that is used to support the testing, commissioning, and operation of the communication systems within Bombardier’s Communications Based Train Control (CBTC) projects. The candidate will maintain software, perform fixes and updates, and participate in formal reviews.

YOUR ROLE

• Software design, implementation, and troubleshooting;
• Interface with engineers of other disciplines working on train control subsystems for Bombardier’s CBTC solutions.
• Develop and maintain documentation and evidence for compliance to CENELEC, IRIS, and other standards.
• Responsible for schedule-driven deliverables such as documentation, software configuration, software releases, bug fixes, and new feature implementation;
• Product development and planning for future generations of software.

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• BS in CS/CE/EE, preferred MS in IS/CS/CE;
• Minimum of 5 years of related professional and technical experience;
• Experience in working with OOP, C# .NET programming, XML, VBScript/VBA, Sockets.
• Experience writing software design documents, software requirements specifications, test procedures, and managing requirements;
• English at a business fluent level is essential for the job;
