Become a member of a world-class mixed-signal design research team in providing high performance analog and mixed mode circuits for 5G communications and networking products.

Researchers will design high performance data converters, and other critical components and concepts in state of the art CMOS/FinFET technology as proof-of-concepts for future Ericsson products. While working in a highly collaborative environment, team members participate in circuit architecture innovation and patent creation, circuit implementation, design review, layout, silicon validation, report writing, and writing of external publications.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate should have a MS in Electrical Engineering or similar with 3+ years of experience – OR – a PhD with very relevant experience in academia.
• Deep understanding of data converter architectures, design, and tradeoffs.
• Strong knowledge of CMOS/FinFET technology and its properties.
• Hands-on experience in modeling and designing mixed signal circuits including ADCs, DACs, ADPLLs, as well as analog circuits like filters, feedback amplifiers, bandgaps, voltage and current references, and voltage regulators.
• Experience from estimation and correction of time-interleaving errors in analog or digital domain.
• Experience from full-custom digital design, synthesis, and/or digital backend.
• A thorough understanding of the physical layout requirement and ability to perform the critical layouts.
• Experience from measurement verification.
• Strong knowledge on IC design CAD tools and simulators such as Cadence, Mentor, ADS, Spectre, Eldo, Calibre, as well as modeling using Matlab, Simulink, VerilogA, Verilog-AMS, VHDL, Verilog, or similar.
• Excellent problem solving, and analytical skills are essential
• Motivated and able to carry out a wide variety of tasks with clear communication and presentation skills in a dynamic team environment.
