DevOps Engineer

Artificial Solutions is looking for a DevOps Engineer with a passion for automation, orchestration, scalability and software infrastructure.

You will be part of our DevOps team and will be working within the software development team driving improvements in technologies used, exploring new technologies, participating in new developments.

Taking forward and improving product technical architectures and setups. Interacting with client technical architecture, providing support, advising on setups, security, sizing. Maintaining and enhancing our development environments, both cloud and datacenter.

Based in our Stockholm office, you will work together with a cross cultural, international team of system engineers, software developers and research engineers, following an agile project development methodology and using English as the daily working language.

The position will focus upon:

- Design and integration of the software platform infrastructure and technology stack
- Automation of the software build, development and delivery process
- Orchestration, automatic scaling and performance tuning of the software
- Research and evaluate leading edge technologies
- Profiling, sizing and documenting platform’s requirements
- Maintaining and enhancing our hosted environments
- Interaction and support within and between internal technical teams as-well as with client technical teams

Essential Required Knowledge and Experience.

- Experience from using a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
- Experience in Linux operations and administration (Ubuntu, Debian or RedHat)
- Strong grasp of cloud services, automation and orchestration
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 2+ years’ experience in DevOps related tasks
- Used to working in distributed teams
- Experience from working with Git and Maven
- Knowledge of configuration management / orchestration (such as Salt, Ansible, Puppet,...)
- Knowledge in datacenter / hardware operations
- Knowledge of scripting languages (bash, Python, Perl,…)
- Experience with web server technologies (Apache, Tomcat, Nginx, HAproxy)

Additional Desired Knowledge and Experience

- AWS / Cloud is a very strong plus
- Experience in developing, orchestrating and automating microservices
- Developing, profiling, load testing and managing distributed systems
- Strong programming skills (Javascript, Java or PHP)
- Java application administration
- NoSQL technologies (Elasticsearch, Cassandra or MongoDB) - integration, configuration and performance tuning
- Automation, configuration and management of web application servers (Tomcat, Apache, Nginx, Jetty)
- Working with containers (i.e. Docker, cri-o, etc.)

Language skills

- Excellent English, both written and spoken
- Additional languages are a plus
