We are looking for Node.js backend web developers for the New Business department at Axis in Lund, specifically for the team developing the video-surveillance service Axis Guardian.
Axis Guardian is a cloud-based service that the surveillance cameras at your local store connect to. This enables alarm monitoring centers to investigate and take appropriate action to ongoing situations, export video evidence for past incidents and give the store employees access to video walls and mobile applications for increased safety.
Axis is the market leader in network video and is currently expanding within access control. Axis Guardian integrates this with alarm monitoring centers from several of the world’s largest security companies, creating physical security services that users can rely on when they need it the most.
Our backend developers are responsible for integrating new Axis products, exposing APIs to applications/partners, audio & video streaming/conversion, recording, storage and clean-up. It all comes down to securing the video data and optimizing the flow of alarms and device connections.
Axis Guardian is built with PHP, Node.js, C and Go, depending on the requirements of the specific area. We are on our way towards a microservice architecture in order to divide responsibilities between teams.
We are about 40 developers working with the service, including backend/frontend, quality assurance, hosting and support. In the end, what matters is that we deliver a security solution that our users can rely on.
