Who are we? SmartBear is a passionate software development company located in central Stockholm. Our International Headquarters are located in Boston, MA and we have other offices in Russia and Ireland. We offer two of the most widespread testing tools in the world; SoapUI (open-source) and Ready! API. SoapUI is the de facto standard for testing and web services. Ready! API extends the SoapUI feature-set with extensive functionality for API virtualization, security testing and performance testing. Both tools combined have a huge user base of more than one million users that we love to engage with to improve our products in innovative ways.

How do we work?
Our teams work closely with product owners to develop products in an active and dynamic environment. We build our processes together as a team to ensure the rapid turnaround of information to other departments such as Sales and Marketing. Developing required features with a process that allows for maximized flexibility and change is integral. Communication is also important to ensure that everyone understands "what we are doing" and "when we are going to do it". The Stockholm development team works very closely with the US, Russia, and Ireland.

Who are you?
You love to code and collaborate with others. You've been doing it for several years now. You are quality conscious and want to search for good solutions to challenging development problems. You write unit tests, participate in code reviews and just as important, you have a strong commitment to the people who use our products. You have an open mind when it comes to technologies and platforms and you openly share your wisdom with others. You like to have fun by creating cool products and solutions while providing value to our users. You feel just as passionate about beating the competition as you do about beating your colleagues at a game of ping pong!

What can you do?
You are comfortable using Java tools like IntelliJ, Maven, JUnit, Jenkins, GitHub, etc. You are not afraid of newer Java technologies such as Swing, Groovy, Guava, and Guice. Furthermore, you understand and are comfortable with agile development techniques, such as Scrum, Kanban, TDD and BDD. Experience as a coach in these techniques is a plus! Moreover, you are or want to become an expert in API technologies, both the older ones like SOAP and WSDL and emerging ones like Swagger, RAML, MQTT, CoAP, etc.

A degree in a related field is merited, but not a requirement. We are looking for solid experience, a positive attitude and a passion for coding. Fluency in English is required since we are a global company and all company communication is in English. Knowledge of Swedish is merited.
