Tech Experience

What you will do

You will be responsible for the 24x7 operation of the BillPay Payment Platform. You will maintain its high availability and scalability. You will improve the monitoring and other aspects of the platform, further automate processes like the provisioning of new virtual machines and make the operation of the platform in general more efficient. And you will closely cooperate with development teams to always achieve the best possible solution.

You will also help us to bring the BillPay Payment Platform to AWS. Our goal is to turn off our two datacenters by the end of 2019. You will use the full toolset provided by AWS to make the platform even more stable, resilient and scalable than it is now.

You should have
University degree in Computer Science or similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Professional experience operating platforms for high traffic websites/APIs
Very good knowledge of Unix/Linux server operating systems, preferably Debian
Passion for automation, professional development experience with Ansible or Puppet
Good knowledge of a script language; ideally Bash. Python is a plus.
You might also have
Professional experience with AWS in general,
Professional experience in operating Java applications in Tomcat and/or Jboss,
Professional experience with HAproxy, Apache, Nginx, ElasticSearch, Graylog, Postgres, etc.
