PDU Base Band and Interconnect

Business Area Networks are responsible for the company’s industry leading radio products and solutions and is the foundation for Ericsson’s technology leadership. Product Development Unit (PDU) Base Band and Interconnect consist of approximately 2000 R&D professionals spanning R&D sites in Europe and Asia. The PDU is responsible for all aspects of Base Band and Interconnect HW and SW module development and their integration. The products are part of Ericsson Radio System. The PDU is heavily involved in product development for 5G.

Job summary

You will be part of a highly competent cross functional team (XFT) of engineers responsible for developing solutions in the Synchronization area for Ericsson Radio System Products towards 5G. You will be part of a team ensuring that the Mobile broadband applications get sub micro second time accuracy. You are expected to participate in all the phases of product development cycle – product definition, architecture, design, scoping, planning, implementation and test. We are looking for people with passion in software development who really wants to make a difference and doesn’t hesitate to take on whatever is needed to get things done.

Since you are experienced you know how it is to work in teams and what it takes. Good communication skills and fluent in English is required as well as knowledge in the Agile process, and willingness to work in an Agile organization.

You will have a very important role in securing the 5G success for Ericsson

Responsibilities:
•Developing solutions in the Synchronization area for Ericsson Radio System Products towards 5G
•SW development in C and/or C++
•Development of automated test cases and test suites, using JCAT
•Maintenance of existing software, trouble report handling and support cases etc.
•Participate in system studies
•Drive continuous improvement of products and processes
•Support in different situations like task forces, support questions and support to other parts of Ericsson

Key Qualifications:
•M.Sc., B.Sc. or similar in the Computer, Electrical or Telecommunication Science or Engineering Physics.
•You are an experienced developer and a team player
•Deep knowledge in C and/or C++
•Good communication skills and fluent in English is required
•Knowledge in the Agile process and willingness to work in an Agile organization.
