Safegate is currently seeking embedded software engineer to our office in Malmö. You will be working with product development in the area of Docking Guidance System. You will also be active within Safegates other product areas. Some of the expertise in this field is located at our office in Stockholm and therefore you will spend most of your first year in Stockholm.
You should be confident working with development and have one foot in the system and the other in software development. You should have knowledge and experience of system safety and development of safety critical software.
As an embedded software engineer, you will work with the development and maintenance of real-time systems. You will also work with development of tools for commissioning and maintenance of our products at the airport. You will follow the product all the way from requirement specification to operation at a customer. You will have the opportunity to work with solo projects as well as being part of larger projects.

It is important that you enjoy working both independently and in teams.
We expect you to have at least a Bachelor degree or equivalent, with at least three years of relevant experience. You are an experienced programmer with good knowledge of C++/ Object oriented design and/or embedded systems and real-time systems. You have good knowledge of application architecture.
Experience in several of the following technologies/tools is meritorious:

* Visual Studio
* Object oriented design and patterns
* Test driven development
* Agile development methodologies
* Industrial communication protocol and interface
* Integration of software with hardware
* Real-time operating system and real-time applications
For this role it is a requirement that you speak and write Swedish and English fluently.
