Senior Backend developer

Instabridge is looking for a Backend developer to join our Stockholm office. As our next backend developer, you will make sure that everything runs smoothly. Our app generates a lot of traffic so it’s important for us that the app can handle the traffic and scale. You will get a lot of responsibility in this role and work in our talented backend team. Our stack consists mainly of Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL running on Heroku.

You will get in on the ground floor of one of Europe's hottest startups and the groundwork you put in now will become the ground which we stand on to continue our growth.

The position is based in Stockholm, Sweden.

What you’ll do:

As a member of our talented backend team, you will make sure that the backend runs efficiently

Scale our backend API to the next level.

Working with the frontend and product teams to develop new features

Work in agile teams with daily stand-ups, and collaborating with the other developers here at Instabridge.

It would be nice if you have:

Knowledge about other databases and server-side frameworks.

Experience working with Microservices.

Experience working with AWS or other cloud services.

Who you probably are:

Have 4-5 years of experience working with backend developing primarily in Ruby on Rails.

Used to working on apps that generate a lot of traffic.

You are used to being in charge of your own projects and working towards a set goal.

Used to working in a team with other developers and communicating with them on the status of your work.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Used to adapting and prioritizing your work to where it is needed the
