Site Reliability Engineer

You'll be working closely with fast-paced development teams and improve the experience of millions of Flightradar24 users around the world.

What you’ll do:

* Write code as well as manage Linux servers
* Implement infrastructure-as-code with a test-driven environment as a standard
* Lead integration of highly available and scalable systems and plan for growing capacity
* Continuously evaluate which systems are best suited in data center versus cloud services
* Interact closely with developers to consistently achieve quality results on a live and fast-growing environment
* Research and evaluate relevant new technologies as they become available

Flightradar24 is looking for a talented and driven Site Reliability Engineer who is versed in DevOps and automation with a side of system administration to lead capacity scaling for sustained growth.

We believe you have experience in many of the following areas:

* Minimum 2 years of professional operations experience using DevOps methodologies
* Experience with constantly growing environments and growth planning
* Strong Linux skills
* Experience with at least one scripting language (e.g. Python) and development methodologies
* Cloud computing experience including AWS EC2, RDS, S3, DynamoDB or similar in GCS or Azure
* Container experience including Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos or similar
* Experience with operation and maintenance of monitoring systems, including Datadog, CloudWatch, or similar
* Configuration management experience, including Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt, or similar
* Experience with deploying and tuning open source technologies including web servers, queuing and caching including Mysql, Nginx, RabbitMQ, Redis, Memcache, or similar
* Experience with continuous integration and automated deployment using Jenkins or similar
* Experience with infrastructure-as-code with tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or similar
