Job Title: Java Developer

Are you a technology geek with knowledge and experience from working with Java? Do you work with CI/CD solutions such as Jenkins? Are you excited about gaining insight into how a product ‘flows’ beyond its lively updating code? Do you like networking on different forums to stay up-to-date with the latest technology, especially within cloud, container and microservice? Then you are the one we are looking for!

Are you ready to create the 5G Future?

Predicting the Future is fun. Inventing it is powerful. @Ericsson we do both. 5G is coming [very] soon, and our company is the early Leader in bringing it to market. We are the driving force behind the Networked Society where every person and every industry are empowered to reach their full potential. Mobility, broadband and the cloud are transforming the world, enabling industries and society to provide better services, capture new opportunities, improve businesses, increase efficiency, and create new user experiences. Are you ready to create the 5G Future?

What we will offer you

@Ericsson, we give our employees the freedom to think BIG. Your ideas and innovations can turn into achievements that impact society and change the World. If you like to do something different and become a change-maker, it is probably a very good idea to join us, BURA ICT Development CI Engine where we develop all kinds of standardized tools, services, visualizations for the whole Ericsson.

Ericsson has one of the most advanced and flexible Continuous Integration/Delivery/Deployment platforms in the world, which is fully based on Eiffel protocol (a protocol created by Ericsson that is specialized in communicating what has happened in CI/CD area, the protocol and basic components are open sourced, check out more in Github, https://github.com/eiffel-community/eiffel).

Since the birth of this organization, we have been trying to create an Eco-system based on Eiffel, with standardized tools/services available in different areas, so users of Eiffel can deploy the complete CI/CD solution without too much extra effort.

In this position in particular, you will mainly work on the backbone part of the Eco-system, which is a model-based orchestrator based on Eiffel. CI/CD pipelines (flows) are usually visually created in a drawing tool, and you will be working with making such drawings come to life in real deployments. You will also be involved in the standardization work of Eiffel messages and flow modeling.

You, as the perfect candidate

Your focus will be back-end development, but if you have experience from full stack development, that’s great. If you are expert in CI and/or know other CI/CD solutions in the market, that is even better.

We want you from yesterday! You will have no time to catch up on your programming skills, so we expect that you are already the best in class programmer in the Java family, which is the main programming group you will use (today we primarily use Java / Groovy in the framework, and Java / NodeJS in other backend of visualization solutions.).

We are working with development according to agile methodologies. We know you can´t predict the future but we want you to think beyond the current project to see how it will evolve. Passion and willingness to learn new things are key characteristics of our team members and we think you are that person.

Key Qualifications:
•You should be a great software developer in one or more languages: Java, Python, Groovy, Scala, NodeJS, Perl, Javascript, NodeJS, etc.
•You should have good knowledge in one or more of these areas: ?Cloud / container solutions
?Databases (Rational and/or Document based)
?Messaging (like RabbitMQ)
?Web services especially REST
?Microservices
?Web development with modern frontend frameworks
?Linux and shell scripting

•Deep knowledge and experience in Jenkins and/or other CI/CD solutions in the market is a great bonus.
•Preferably minimum 3 years of previous experience.
