We are seeking an exceptional Software Development Manager who is capable of becoming an integral part of our Stockholm Development and Test team which is comprised of 10 developers and 2 testers. This is a senior role that reports to the SVP of Development and Customer Care in Boston, MA. You will be responsible for leading a team of highly motivated and talented developers and testers while working on one of the eminent products of SmartBear called ReadyAPI. Specific responsibilities include: . Define and drive strategic initiatives to continue building the ReadyAPI family of products together with Senior Management and teams across the company . Work with other Development Groups, Product Managers, Technical Writers, and Marketing teams located in US and Russia . Work with Product Managers and Engineers to define exact requirements, figure out feature sprints and release schedules . Lead the team, optimize resources and time to market schedules Our ideal candidate will possess experience and passion for leading lean software development teams across different countries and functional areas. Utbildning/Erfarenhet
APIs are at the core of our product, therefore in-depth understanding of API related technologies such as SOAP and REST are a must . 7+ years of progressive responsibilities in the software development . You are comfortable with the following Java tools: IntelliJ, Maven, JUnit, Hudson / Jenkins, SVN / GIT, etc. You are not afraid of new technologies such as OSGi, Swing, Groovy or Guava . You have years of experience with agile development techniques such as Scrum, Kanban, BDD, TDD, etc. Experience as a coach in these techniques is a big plus! . Ability to communicate across multiple levels of the organization and influence others is critical as well as having experience working with geographically dispersed teams . Fluency in English is required since we are a global company and all company communication is in English, knowledge of Swedish is merited . Relevant business or technical degree Interested?
