Will machines change the transport industry? Currently, the actual driving of vehicles is increasingly being taken over by computers. Very soon, you will see fully autonomous vehicles on the streets. Scania is aiming high to solve the future transport demands in a safe and sustainable way.
Scania is developing the autonomous vehicles as well as the digital infrastructure to automate transports. This is the Scania Autonomous Transport Solution. An important part of that is the strategic planner, which is an in-house developed function for automated planning and dispatching of autonomous vehicles.
Your task
You work in a small team of highly skilled developers and architects responsible for the digital infrastructure of the strategic planner. This involves designing, implementing and maintaining the deployment environments as well as supporting customer requirements and integration with third party components on API level. The team is also very influent on the software architecture from an infrastructure point of view, and so are you. Your opinion is the truth.

Your profile
You have several years of relevant work experience. You know how to design scalable infrastructure. You can explain for development teams the importance of stateless design. You know what loose coupling means to maintainability and fault tolerance. We hope you are familiar with infrastructure as a service, like Amazon AWS. Good if you have previous experience with Java JVM and also development in Java.
