Backend Software Developer at Hello Future in Sweden

Hello Future is a digital transformation agency. We help our clients create innovative digital products and services, improve their skills and knowledge about our digital economy and we also help them organize their work in new and improved ways. Our team is a mix of software engineers, designers and business developers.

As a backend developer at Hello Future, you will work on a wide range of software projects and products, ranging from new innovative IoT startups to old stable systems for employee management.

You will often work as the single backend developer in a team and you will be a part of the project from the initial contact with the client to the deployment of the end result. You will do everything from taking part in initial meetings with new clients where we discuss and decide the way forward to estimating and deciding the server capacity and setting it up, defining the system architecture and APIs, and finally - of course - developing and deploying the system.

For most projects you will work closely together in the project team, usually consisting of a UX designer and one or more frontend developers. At Hello Future, we do not believe that a dedicated internal project manager is needed for each project. Instead we value each and everyone's ability to take responsibility for their own work and the end result - communicating fluently within the team and organization.

As far as requirements go, we are pretty open minded. If you feel like you’re the person we’re looking for, don’t hesitate to get in touch! It will help a lot if you have at least three years experience in backend development and the more of the below listed responsibilities and skill sets you feel comfortable with - the better!

These will be your main responsibilities here at Hello Future:
- Develop large and small web applications in project form on UNIX based systems
- Develop, test and debug PHP and Python based systems
- Design, develop and support REST and RESTful APIs
- Integrate services with external systems through SOAP, REST and other technologies
- Fundamentally understand technical and functional design requirements
- Write and follow technical specifications and production processes
- Write and maintain documentations for projects and software
- Keeping up to date with the latest on system security and system vulnerabilities
- Design, develop and maintain databases
- Branstorm and collaborate continuously with team members and clients
- Collaborate with a team to develop and complete projects.

Skill sets you currently have, or are eager to learn:
- L.A.M.P. stack experience, PHP and Python
- Laravel, Flask and/or other framework experience
- Experience with git, svn or other modern version control systems
- Experience with web services and MVC framework
- Experience with MySQL and other databases
- Experience with Eloquent and SQLAlchemy or other ORM frameworks
- Experience with Linux and deploying web services on Linux
- Experience with Windows and deploying web services on Windows
