Axis experiences a steady growth in production volume of our popular network video products and we thus want to hire an imaging engineer to join our Production Test Systems team.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
We are looking for an imaging engineer to work with design and implementation of camera and imaging test systems used in volume production.

You will work in a department responsible for developing and maintaining production test systems and will in this role take part in development of varying tests and assembly systems used in camera manufacturing. The role includes optimization and maintenance of running systems and imaging tests as well as designing, planning and aligning usage of new tests throughout the organization.

You can expect a high degree of job variation and interaction with a number of product development projects in this position. The person hired will have a lot of influence on how Axis will work with imaging related production tests in the future.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You will in this position interact with stakeholders from different parts of the organisation, such as project development, operations and quality department and it’s therefore important that you are open minded and a good communicator.

We believe that you have the following qualifications:

* A Master’s degree in Computer science, Electrical engineering or similar
* Experience from C programming in Linux environment
* Experience in Python scripting
* General knowledge and interest in photography, optics, and image sensor technology

It is considered an extra plus if you also have experience from the following areas:

* Electronics manufacturing and test development for camera systems
* Source code management (Git)
* TCP/IP communications and WireShark usage
* I/O devices, motor controllers and similar 

THE BASE VIDEO PRODUCTS DEPARTMENT
The position is part of the product development department (Base Video Products) even though the actual work will be done close to the production and production test systems. BVP is the organization within Axis Research & Development that runs the development projects of our network cameras. The development projects starts with an idea of a product and ends when the product is available for purchase in the market, thus including industrialization – start of production. We are a large part of Axis R&D and continue to grow to meet the demand for new innovative products that can fulfill the need of our customers.
