The Electrical and Hybrid Powertrain Systems Development department are responsible for the components, functions, features and the testing in the area of electrified trucks and buses.

We are looking for a SW Development Engineer who will work in the area of embedded systems control including charging control, climate control, and auxiliary functions related to the electrified system.

 

Your work assignments
You will develop functionality in Matlab Simulink, Stateflow and C and also write unit tests for your functions. For internal and external customers you will produce SW specifications & collect function requirements.

Additionally you will collect all necessary vehicle/user requirements and align them with the relevant parts within Scania. You will be responsible for safety and hazard analysis as well as the coordination of the relevant processes regarding functional development / testing and release.

You will also have the opportunity to do SW application optimization directly in the vehicles and support vehicle start-ups for our development vehicles.

You work within an highly motivated and inspiring team, using an agile approach with continuous deployment of software and you will have the chance to contribute to the whole idea of electrification as well as work with the technical details of our future solutions. 

 

Your profile
We are looking for you with a few years of experience in controls system and software development for embedded systems and an interest in electrified vehicles. You are an engineer with master’s degree or equivalent. You are engaged, curious and have the ability and will to bring new ideas and achieve results.

You like working with others and are driven by an inspiring climate with many talented colleagues around you. You are good at leading and driving technical changes and you are educational and structured. You like problem solving. Communication is one of your great strengths, both verbally and in writing. You have a driver's license. Driving licenses for trucks or buses are meritorious just like other vehicle-related experiences. Good knowledge of English (spoken and written) is a requirement, skills in German is a plus.

Experience with Scania ECU or other automotive software is highly meriting as well as knowledge with cmake (build process), Python (module and SIL testing) and CAN/J1939.
