Lead Business Analyst at Fishbrain

What you’ll do:

Lead our analytics/insights efforts and inspire a data-driven mindset throughout the organization.
Drive projects that identify key levers for user growth, activity, retention, and revenue.
You know how to fish in other ponds -meaning -Work cross-functionally with Product, Growth, Finance, Marketing and Management teams to drive data-driven solutions and alignment.
Work closely with our engineering team to drive excellent data processing and solutions to business problems.
Use statistical and econometric techniques to:
Measure results and show trends
Identify causal impact and attribution
Analyze experiments
Model and predict future performance of products
Be the go-to person for everything data related within Fishbrain.

As our Lead Business Analyst, you need to be both analytical and technical. You have the ability to discover critical insights and enjoy finding opportunities to influence decisions with data. You will work cross-functionally throughout the company, pairing with everyone from marketing to product to finance to our scientific research partners.

Wish List

3+ years in a data-intensive role, preferably at a startup or working on a mobile app.
Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or other quantitative field, or equivalent quantitative training; advanced degree a plus.
Experience in using Python or R for programming, statistics and data mining.
Proficient in SQL.
Strong team player who enjoys working across multiple cross-functional teams.
Focus on scale - develop tooling to automate commonly requested analyses
Experience building out data pipelines from new and raw data sources.
