Front End Developer – Volvo Group Connected Solutions

Volvo Group Connected Solutions is looking for a Front End Developer for its Innovation Lab in Gothenburg!

Innovation Lab is a newly established function, within Volvo Group Connected Solutions, with the mission to pioneer new connected services and solution.

At Innovation Lab we do things differently than traditional corporate functions; we work with agile methods in diverse and focused concept and venture teams together with customers, partners, start-ups and members from various parts of the Volvo Group. We constantly strive to generate added value for our customers and finding the next offering for Volvo Group by combining insights across industry sectors, digital trends and data from our connected fleets of vehicles and machines.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Front End Developer in the Innovation Lab you will:
Design & Develop prototypes of new connected services and solutions for all Volvo Group brands
Experiment together with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment
Secure scalability of solution, enabling speed moving from idea to commercial solution
Work in an test driven environment using design thinking & continuous delivery
Merit
UX/UI competences is a strong merit (e.g. design & prototyping tools, latest trends)
Native iOS and Android
Java, Spring
Unit and integration testing frameworks; and continuous integration tools
NodeJS, NPM…
Build tools and frameworks
Cloud services e.g. AWS, Azure Cloud Platform
Container and change management tools e.g. Docker

Qualifications
University degree or similar education
Minimum 5 years’ experience from similar positions and associated track record
Experience from IT development in the following technologies:
JavaScript & JS frameworks (incl. ReactJS, Redux, React Native)
Web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3…
Integration: REST, JSON, Websockets
Source code version management systems e.g. Git
