Senior Developer – Digital Operations

ABB Digital Operations is now looking for a Senior Developer, who could help us to take the lead in the Swedish market. You can be the right person for this job, if you like to work with the latest technology, co-create with customers and help to create a more sustainable society.

You will be part of the User Experience team at Corporate Research in Västerås. We are the largest ABB research center with over 200 employees. The research center has principal responsibility for research and development in automation technology and shared responsibility for power technologies.

Tasks:
The role requires taking concepts from prototype-phase and minimum-viable product to full-scale solution implementation.
You will be:
• Developing software solutions, as a team member in the Agile team with different skills and perspectives
• Designing new solutions by developing “Proof of Concept” and “Rapid Prototyping”
• Building efficient and scalable solutions
• Influencing technical decisions
• Working closely to business and impacting the customers in a very direct way

Requirements:
You are a senior developer with a MSc degree in Computer Science and several years of “hands on” experience from enterprise platforms and solutions. Clear understanding of tech stack for analytics and enterprise systems is required knowledge of IT and IoT/cloud technologies is required, and you are experienced in designing and deploying cloud solutions on azure architecture. You are also experienced in HTTP and web development and have a deeper knowledge for one or more of the following development platforms/languages: .NET/Java/Python/C/C#. You have experience working with databases and datasets and an understanding of source control and cloud environments.
As a person, you are open, social and have a natural ability to collaborate and build good relationships. You have a large dose of inner drive and are a structured and systematic professional. Proficiency in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is a must.
You will work with a variety of interesting customers and projects throughout Sweden, which means some travelling is a part of your job.
