SW Developer and System Administrator

Enea is a world leader vendor within embedded systems. The Internal Tools team at Enea is looking for a combined developer and systems administrator who will be responsible for management and development of Enea?s test environment. The test environment is accessible from anywhere within the ENEA group worldwide. It consists of multiple software frameworks, a fully automated hardware lab as well as multiple servers. The Internal Tools team is also responsible for configuration management and other development tools (ClearCase, Git, Jira etc.).

- Be updated on the latest technology in the field

The Team
The team consists of five people with varying expertise in software development, hardware, system management and configuration management. You work closely together to maintain and develop the environment and act as helpdesk to the organization. The role combines software development with systems administration where you develop new test systems, as well as maintain our existing systems and frameworks. The environment is complex with various flavors on Linux/Unix; many types of hardware targets; larger software systems such as automated test frameworks, and small scripts used for single tasks; new software (mainly in Python) and old (Perl and bash scripts); MySQL databases; web based as well as CLI based systems; multiple systems for configuration management (Git and ClearCase) and two different product build systems based on BitBake and Makefiles respectively.

Your Profile
You have MSc or BSc degree in telecommunications, computer science or software engineering. As a person you are service oriented, take responsibility and are passionate about your work. You have a broad technical background, has the ability to work independently and likes to collaborate closely with your team. Constant development and problem solving are natural parts of your profile.

Required skills & experience:
- Object oriented software development, preferably using Python
- Experience working with version control, preferably Git and/or ClearCase
- Systems administration in a Linux/Unix environment

Desired skills & experience:
- Agile development
- Perl, Bash, Make, C
- Web programming: Javascript, jQuery
- Python web tools: CherryPy, Django
- Test-driven development and/or product testing
- Configuration management
- Different flavors of Linux and Solaris
- Basic knowledge of Ethernet and TCP/IP, as well as protocols such as tftp, dns and dhcp.
- Experience with virtualization (KVM, VMWare)
