Who we are

Volumental is a young and supportive company with a friendly, talented and diverse team of 43 people, currently comprising 20 nationalities. We have a collaborative atmosphere and believe in developing our employees and growing our business while having fun at work.

At Volumental, we’re passionate about creating a great shopping experience and helping people find the best products for them (both fit and style) - starting with shoes. To do that we 3D scan people’s feet and use AI to find or create shoes that fit you perfectly. This data also helps our customers, mainly world leading brands, to develop better products. We do this by utilizing our beautifully designed high tech software and hardware, at present unparalleled in the global retail industry.

We’re also in a strong growth phase. Since we started rolling out in 2016, our scanners are now in stores in 35 countries and help thousands of people every day find shoes that fit. So we’re a crucial part of making retail more efficient, personalised and sustainable.

What’s your part in this?

To succeed in our mission to transform retail, we need a great user experience. And we can’t guarantee that without great front-end developers. That’s why you are so important to us!

With us, you will get a chance to learn about and work on several layers of the vertical. While doing so, you will work collaboratively with our development team, product owners and Creative Director to develop, deploy, run and maintain UI and UX aspects of our products. ?You’ll also work with our data scientists to create visual tools to make huge datasets of information enlightening to managers, researchers and store owners. Besides, you will create the UI for our tools to monitor and understand what goes on at any moment in thousands of retail locations world-wide.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
We’re excited about you because you:

- Are a collaborative and kind team member

- Are keen to work in the ever-changing environment of a startup.

We want you to:

- Have more than 3 years of experience working professionally with front-end web development
- Build and scale apps on top of React reusable component library
- Be strict about automated tests and type checking.

It is a plus if you also have some of these experiences:

- A degree in computer science or similar
- Handle Git with proficiency
- Know front-end technologies such as Three.js, Webpack, npm, Yarn
- Have some back-end experience with e.g. Python, Golang, SQL.

You’ll have lots of opportunities to learn on the job, so don’t worry if you only fulfil half of this wish list so far.
