Axis is now looking for a curious and technically-minded Software Engineer that are proactive and take initiatives.

What is Axis?
Axis is the market leader in network video. Our main office is located in Lund and the majority of the development takes place here.

What will you do?
You will join the Storage Team which is a part of the Common Firmware Platform department. Our team is responsible for the common Storage- and Recording-solution for the majority of our products.

We are a small team of four engineers that work in Linux User Space writing code in C and tests in Python. As a Software Engineer in our team, you will be adding functionality and make architectural changes to the firmware platform. You will be involved in all phases of development - from innovation/first ideas, all the way through design and implementation until the final release to the market.

Who are we looking for?
You have a master’s degree in computer science or equivalent competence. We are open to both recent graduates and more experienced applicants.

Experience of programming is a must, but we believe you can learn C and Python on the job as long as you have experience of some programming language.

Cooperation is a crucial part of Axis' success, so we believe it is important that you have good collaboration skills and thus have the opportunity to develop through your colleagues. It is also important that you can contribute to a good and productive working environment. You are a curious and technically-minded person and we expect that you are proactive and take initiatives.

Experience of C, Python, databases, Yocto, Git and Linux is great but not a requirement. You have good skills in English, both written and verbal.
