Are you obsessed with technology and thrilled about the fast-paced evolution of the media industry? Awesome, we might have the right challenge for you! We are looking for two curious and skilled tech trainees to our office in Stockholm. If this description fits you - go ahead and apply!

THE POSITION

As a Tech Trainee you will be part of shaping the future of entertainment. You will join our NENT Product, Data and Technology organisation and work as a contributing team member in three to four of our development teams over the course of the year. You will also get to work on smaller projects on your own, of course with the support of your mentor who will be by your side throughout the year. Depending on your background within data or product you will participate in projects that will span areas like AI, full-stack development, UX design, DevOps and much more. We offer you a 12-month paid temp from August 2019 to August 2020, with a high chance of further extension or a permanent position.

THE CHALLENGE AHEAD

You will get to work on a wide variety of tasks and your workday may differ a lot. These are some of the challenges you might face:

• Work on new and existing projects to develop the Viaplay/Viafree product
• Work cross-functionally in sprints
• Have the guts and technical know-how to further develop our product
• Be a valued team member in different development teams

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Since you will become part of a close-knit team, be prepared for some solid team-work in a solutions-driven environment. And if youre passionate about video streaming and entertainment, that would be awesome. We believe everyone together contribute to our working environment with their different backgrounds and experience. ESSENTIALS

• A bachelors degree or higher, graduating in or before Spring 2019
• Programming experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, Go or functional programming (e.g. F#, LINQ, Lisp, Haskell or ML)

AN INTEREST OR EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING TOPICS

• Experience in web frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue etc.)
• Understanding of networks and infrastructure concepts such as HTTP and REST
• Interest in cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure or Heroku etc.)
• Interest in mobile app development (Android or iOS)
• Special Interest in AI, data science or analytics.
