Everywhere we look today, we find ourselves surrounded by sophisticated display technologies. From digital signage and TVs, to smartphones and heads-up displays, the Mycronic laser mask writers play a critical role in this technological revolution. The data processing software plays a central role in the Mycronic mask writers and its main purpose is to transform a vectorized pattern into a modulator image that can be printed by the system. The data processing software does various image processing and morphological operations to further optimize the quality of the image.

This recruitment process is conducted by Academic Work and you will be employed directly by Mycronic.

ARBETSUPPGIFTER
You will be part of a team designing the data processing software for Mycronic Pattern Generators. You will be working in a creative environment in cross functional teams together with both junior and more experienced developers and you will have an assigned mentor in the beginning. You will work in projects that vary over several development phases – from idea to finished product. Projects scope will include new functionality as well as updating existing solutions.

Your job tasks will for example concern

* Designing software functions in the data processing software platform
* Implementing and unit-testing software functions according to our development process
* Functional testing on system level
* Participate in specification and review of requirements
* Report status to project management and escalate any deviations from plan
* Synchronize your development with other project teams

On top of this, you need:

* Have a BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electronics or other relevant area of knowledge
* Are familiar with agile methods such as Scrum and/or Kanban
* At least one year of work experience with Java
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken

It will be seen as an advantage if you have…

* Experience in C and/or C++
* Experience in Linux
