Backend Developer

We are on the lookout for a backend developer to join our Technology team in Stockholm. The team consists of four developers and six data scientists that are working together with the aim to provide technology to be used by our digital marketing teams in their work to optimise our clients’ marketing effort. You will join the team in an exciting stage as we are in the starting block of taking our internal tech platform to the next level, a project that includes rebuilding from scratch using modern technologies.

Joining at this stage, you will be given a high level of ownership and be able to influence and have a great impact on the technical decisions. Today, our stack consists of a Django and Celery based backend and a React frontend. As we are rebuilding our platform from scratch, you will have the opportunity to influence decisions regarding the future technology stack and architecture. You will also be a part of taking decision, and playing an active role, when it comes to defining the technical path to follow.

WORK-TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Be responsible for building, integrating, developing and future-proofing our backend components with focus on performance, security, scalability and high availability.

- Work together with team on maintaining and updating current stack and applications as well as set future architecture and technology stack.

- Improve and maintain code quality by writing tests and applying best practices.

- Work closely with our Marketing Teams on to ensure we are delivering usable and useful technology.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Solid and proven ability to build web application backends using languages like Python, C/C++, Java, Go etc.

Experience with web application development, preferably from Django.

Some experience within DevOps, Docker and *nix.

Some knowledge and experience working with databases and SQL.

Have a great interest in exploring and keeping up with new technologies and to go from idea to implementation.

Experience with serverless frameworks and PaaS solutions is a plus.

(Preferred) Experience from projects involving build, develop and maintain scalable platforms

Minimum 2 years work experience within development

BA/BSc in computer science, programming, physics, or equivalent is a requirement.
