C++ Software Developer for Leica Geosystems Machine Control Division

Who are we looking for?
With a degree in engineering or computer science, your colleagues and managers probably say that you have a high technical knowledge and a strong personal drive. As a person you are creative and social team player with a systematic and result-oriented approach to your work. You are focused and work independently within the given framework, as well as performing well in collaboration across the organization. You take responsibility for your assignments, are quality-conscious and meet agreed deadlines. You have experience in shipping products, reading and writing maintainable code and keep track of the latest development in C++.

You´re not only familiar, but quite skilled in several of the following relevant technologies and skills:

C++

Object oriented programming and design patterns

Linux, GIT

CI/CD

OpenGL, linear algebra and computational geometry

Given the nature of our products, gain extra points by having knowledge in surveying and experience with CAD software, GIS, GPS/GNSS and 3D graphics.

Job Description
You will contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from design and specification to implementation, testing and documentation and work on our software architecture and develop new generations as well as maintain our existing market leading products. Consolidation of platforms for various types of machinery and unifying of versions across user scenarios will be your key task. You will create advanced software for construction machines that communicates in real-time with external systems, cloud systems and other machines with 3D visualization and machine control techniques. All tasks require you to seek and use best practice methodologies and come up with solutions to problems of varying complexity. We rely on agile methodologies to scope, plan, estimate and follow up on progress to achieve our goals. The team works closely together with others, both in-house and in R&D departments in Denmark, Switzerland and Australia.
