What we do at Detectify
Detectify was born from the simple idea that the internet was broken. Our founders are some of the best ethical hackers in the world. They have hacked tech giants like Google, Facebook, and Dropbox and are continuing to share their knowledge as part of our tech teams.

Today we offer a web application security scanner that automates hacker attacks. We collaborate with 150+ handpicked white-hat hackers to gather security tests for 1000+ known vulnerabilities that we implement into our scanner. We are trusted by some of the most widely used consumer products such as Spotify, Trello and King. Based in central Stockholm, Sweden, we are currently a team of 50 employees and growing quickly.

What our core team does
Our core team (or Chemtrails as they like to call themselves) are responsible for building and improving our core product; the scanner, as well as components like our web crawler, our API, our fingerprinting function and our integrations.

Chemtrails guarantee our customers the best result possible when it comes to our scanning performance, fingerprinting accuracy, crawling efficiency and vulnerability scope. They do this by working with a tech stack of wide variety which includes .NET, C#, Java, Python, Go (Golang), RabbitMQ, AWS (RDS, S3, EC2, Glue, Athena, Firehose), Elasticsearch.

The team today consists of 6 developers including a team lead. All developers work with everything from architecture to testing and implementation. We work a lot with pair programming and we work according to scrum with some modifications in 2-week sprints with releases at least once a week.

What you will get to do in our core team
As a developer in Chemtrails, you will develop and improve both existing and new components related to our core product. You will be a part of a self-managed team and be involved in all stages of the development life-cycle. You will help us take the next step by figuring out how to scale our existing product from being able to handle 1000 scans a day to handling over 100 000 scans a day. You will also get to:

- Write maintainable, easy to read code that is testable
- Contribute to our architecture
- Take part in the work to set the guidelines for how the growing core team should be organized and function
- Actively work with other teams and roles to give and receive input on the product

Who you are
You are a person who sets and achieves your own ambitious goals. You think it is important to continuously evaluate and reflect on your own solutions and seek outside input to improve. You like to solve complicated technical problems with a team of innovative problem solvers.

You come from a background where you are used to work with load-heavy backend applications and like to work smart with a lot of different data sources, such as MessageQues, Databases, API calls, Microservices etc. You have extensive knowledge in either Java or .NET, preferably in a SaaS setting with a product that has scaled through the cloud.
