Nasdaq is now looking for a skilled Application Engineer to join the Stockholm office. You will sit in the renovated former Ford assembly plant in Frihamnen, in our spacious and open plan factory-style campus, which houses 700 of Nasdaq's IT talent across many departments such as engineering, architecture, infrastructure, development and test.

This position will give you the opportunity to be a part of our fantastic application management team. You will work with many different products and systems, like Nasdaq Genium Market Information (GMI) and Thomson Reuters Enterprise Platform (TREP). In your role as Application Engineer, you will be a part of all activities related to the applications such as handling of incoming issues, incident solving, requirements and launching of new releases. Your ability to perform multiple tasks combined with a great work ethic and working in a mission-critical 24x7 environment will ensure your success in this role.
The job includes:
* Designing, planning and implementing changes to our existing systems and implementing new solutions
* Planning and executing non-functional and performance testing
* Acting as a specialist in operational issues, questions and requirements
* Taking part in performing recovery procedures, scheduling, backups, and working pro-actively to catch incidents before they happen.
* Managing projects and independently carrying out parts of large implementation projects
Requirements for the candidate:
* Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related discipline
* Experience from working with System administration, Network, Application operations or other related area is essential
* Knowledge and understanding of Linux/Unix
* Good interpersonal skills and a strong communicative ability in English, both verbally and written
* Experience from scripting(Perl), Windows, Networks and SQL is meritorious
* Docker and Cloud experience is meritorious
