Senior Backend Engineer (Go & Microservices)

P.F.C. is a free card and an app that helps you take control of your everyday financial life. We're building a mobile-first personal finance app to help our customers attain financial wellbeing and as well as providing them with a personalized experience tailored to each person’s individual needs. We are a team of engineers, product managers, and product designers building our product. We are an agile team that ships frequently and releasing new versions of our mobile apps as often as once per week. We are continuously developing new features and refining our designs to give our customers the best possible experience.

Who You Are
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who wants to join our engineering team on our journey to create the most personal mobile banking app in the Nordics, with an advanced microservice architecture. You have previous experience with building backend cloud-based microservices, and you are thriving in a fast-paced and adaptive environment. You love to get things done without cutting corners at the expense of quality, and enjoy a streamlined way of working. Also, you are a passionate team player who enjoys finding solutions through collaboration with your team through pairing and mobbing.

What You Will DoYou will act as the technical leader in a team of backend engineers and contribute to the vision and long-term strategy in your teams’ domain while also mentoring other engineers through hands-on collaboration. You will architect, design, develop, deploy, and operate services that serve our users. Here at P.F.C. you will have the opportunity to work with modern technologies such as Go but also have great influence over other technology choices and working methods. Also, you will drive good engineering practices within your team and define and teach these practices within the company as well as becoming the go-to person to solve problems in your area of expertise. Further you will iterate the APIs with our mobile developers to provide the data and services our iOS and Android applications need to solve our customers’ problems.

We would like you to have- A few years of previous experience in developing microservices

- Experience with AWS, Heroku or other cloud-based hosts at previous jobs

- A valid work permit in Sweden

Bonus Points!- You have previous experience working in Go
