ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Security Operations Analyst at Kindred you will join 3 other members in the Security Operations Line that is a part of the Group Security team. The team has two other groups: one is responsible for governance, risk and compliance and one is responsible for the offensive technical work such as verifying Kindred´s security systems and applications and developing tools to improve the system.

The Security Operations line is responsible for the defensive work. Including making sure all the relevant information is monitored, searching for threats, gathering intelligence, finding patterns and solutions to improve the security at Kindred.

As a graduate in the Accelerate program you will be responsible for or take part in different projects like threat intelligence and hunting, automation of collection of alerts or of incident response through our Incident Response Platform, analysis of phishing threats, incident response or awareness campaigns towards internal users.

This position suits someone with a great interest in IT security. You will work closely with the team in exciting projects and while keeping up with the latest technologies.

YOUR PROFILE

Curious and always trying to learn new tricks, at the moment you are studying Computer Science, IT Security, Development or another similar education within IT and you will graduate in spring 2019. You have a great interest in IT security and an understanding of Python, C++ or another similar language. If you have a project in Python to show it will be a plus.

To succeed in this role, you are a detective who loves making research about new technologies, investigating, finding new information or patterns and always want to develop and learn more. We often use the following technologies as part of our day to day work:

* Python
* Open Source Incident Response platforms (The Hive, Cortex, MISP, …)
* Splunk
* Sandboxes
* Next-gen EDR
* Vulnerability Management Solutions

You are a team player and have a pedagogical approach which will be important for security awareness trainings.

THE ACCELERATE PROGRAM

Joining the Kindred graduate program means working on exciting and challenging projects with cutting edge technology and starting to buildanetwork from day one.

From the very start of yourfirst six months of theprogram you will work directly in your team with support from your mentor, as well ason exciting projects with your fellow graduates. You'll take part in several tailored learning modules designed to help you develop your skills, grow as a person, andbuild strong relationships. As a group of graduates, we'll ensure you work together, toshare experiences and challenges from your journey in a safe and secure environment.This experiencewill prepare you wellfor a bright future within Kindred Group.

THE BOOT CAMP

We will kick start with a two-week Boot Camp designed to accelerate your start at Kindred.

WEEK 1:Focus will be on getting you settled in at Kindred andlearn about our culture and our core values. What are they and why are they important to us and to you.You will also get to know your fellow graduates and the colleagues that will support you on your journey.
WEEK 2:Duringthe second week we will focus on the business.

How do we achieve success? What is success?What are the different parts of the company and what do they do?How do we work within Tech? Our products, learning by playing.

THE 6 MONTHS PROGRAM

During the remaining time you will mainly be working in your team towards becoming a fully contributing team-member. You will be doing On the Job Training by gradually doing more and more complex tasks related to the team responsibility. You will do this in close collaboration withand supported by your mentor.

We will also set aside time every week for training/workshops/knowledge sharing with the Graduate team. Examples of activities are;
