Great, we might have a challenge for you! We are currently looking for a Junior Performance Developer to join the Viaplay/Viafree team here in Stockholm. If this sounds like you - go ahead and apply!
THE POSITION
As a Developer with performance focus you will work with and enhance the performance testing framework for Viaplay and Viafree, and be part of the development process in a cross functional team. You will be involved in all areas of development but with a focus on performance during the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and architecture discussions to monitoring the code in production.

You will get to work on a premium streaming service with both Video On-Demand and live
streaming, offered on many different client devices, in several countries, and you will get to do
so with highly competent and motivated colleagues. You will be challenged and you will get to
develop your skills as a developer.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for someone starting their career as a test engineer or systems developer and want to focus on performance testing going forward. We believe that you enjoy continuous integration workflows and that you are familiar with source control management using Git (or similar). We expect you to be passionate and proactive.
- Degree in computer science, computer engineering or an equivalent level of work experience
- Programming experience, preferably Node.js and Java/Python
- Interest in developing and testing high-performance services
- Basic knowledge with Cloud Computing platforms like AWS
- Strong interest in Continuous Integration, automation and other efficient workflow-oriented
practices
- Server-side experience with Unix/Linux as well as network protocols such as HTTP
- Interest in microservice architecture
