This is a rare opportunity to join collaborative research at the intersection of radiology, computer science and bioinformatics. We lead the way for how AI can be integrated with radiological images and clinical data to benefit women in breast cancer screening and treatment. You will be based in the radiology team and manage images and clinical data, working closely with collaborators in computer science who develop new AI algorithms.
We seek a curious-minded postdoc who thrives in a data-rich environment, and who enjoy working with radiology images. You will help to manage our dataset consisting of millions of mammograms and thousands of MRI exams. You will be involved in international collaborations with clinical and machine learning researchers. Depending on your background, in radiology or image analysis, your mission will be tailored to fit your competence and our research needs.
Qualified to be employed as a postdoctor is one who has obtained a doctorate or has equivalent scientific competence. Applicants who have not completed a doctorate at the end of the application period may also apply, provided that all requirements for a completed degree are met before the (intended) date of employment. This must be substantiated by the applicant's main supervisor, director or equivalent.

Location: The affiliation is with the Department of Oncology-Pathology in professor Jonas Bergh’s research group. The work place in the Fredrik Strand research team is located at the Breast Imaging unit at the Karolinska University Hospital in Solna.
