Job Description
Store Enablement Area plays a key role in enabling the future store experience. The area is set on a mission to provide a unified and streamlined in-store experience worldwide. We want to provide the best customer experience, a simplified interface between Business Tech and our stores. The area creates a stable platform and capabilities to build store specific applications running on modernized devices. All based on holistic store staff and customer vision and journey.
The role includes dual responsibility as you will work as a Software Engineer and Competence Lead. You will have staff responsibility for Software and Technical Engineers and be responsible for their development. As a software Engineer we believe that you are a team player who is driven by tech and the urge to create a business impact with the capabilities of software and tech.
Responsibilities
As a Competence Lead your managing responsibilities will include:
Coaching and mentoring to help your employees become the best they can be
Collaborating with Product Owners on development and workforce planning
Participating in recruiting new employees
Working with performance management and salary review for your employees
Being compliant with laws and policies
As a Software Engineer in Store Enablement, you will embark on a journey that will lead to something new and exciting - we will test, fail, and learn. You will be an important player in this expedition, and so we believe you are communicative, flexible and able to work in an environment that is not yet formalized. Some of your responsibilities as Software Engineer will include:
Developing code on Java, .NET to enable solutions in a cloud-based environment
Close collaboration with team members to create a customer-oriented focus on the development of software and architectural designs
Collaborating and agreeing on deliveries with partners and stakeholders
Designing, developing and supporting solutions with users and customers in focus
Contributing to the move needed to make our technical platforms enabled for future solutions
Qualifications
As a Competence Lead, you have a solid technical background, great leadership skills, believe in a non-hierarchical culture of collaboration, transparency, safety, and trust. You like working with a focus on value creation, growth and serving customers with full ownership and accountability.
We are looking for you who have:
Experience with microservices architectures, REST APIs development
Managed internal and external stakeholders
Been using agile methodologies and tools, familiar with agile ways of working
Experience in retail, software, devices, and applications
Experience with container-based technologies and infrastructural landscape with cloud engineering (MS/GCP)
An interest and understanding in IoT (Internet of Things), Android Hardware, Cloud Infrastructure, Automation.
You will work in an environment where experience from working with the following will be beneficial:
Event-driven architecture and messaging service bus technologies
Cloud platforms and Docker
CI/CD pipelines
Test automation tools and processes
Kafka, Azure and Google Cloud Platform
