As a Linux Infrastructure Engineer at Kindred you will be a part of the Backbone Delivery Services team which today consists of 6 team-members. You will participate in design discussions with your colleagues to find great solutions to complex engineering challenges. You will get the opportunity to learn about the system administration, data governance and end user support of our central logging solution, Splunk. We work in an Agile way with open communication, trust and compassion. Always striving to improve ourselves, to learn from others and we understand that knowledge grows by sharing.
As a graduate in the accelerate program you will help the development teams to build Splunk dashboards and logging according to best practices. You will also help with common operational tasks within the Linux environment.
The accelerate program will start in September 2019 and is located in Stockholm. During the program you are going to work as a consultant through Studentwork. Kindred´s ambition is to hire every consultant after the 6 months program, if both parts are satisfied with the collaboration.
Curious and always trying to learn new tricks, at the moment you are studying Computer Science, Development or another similar education within IT and you will graduate in spring 2019. We are looking for passion and drive! If you consider yourself a coding Ninja, maybe your friends complain that you spend too much time in the computer lab or when people ask what languages you know you put Scala or Java at the top of the list. You will feel right at home here. We are not all geeky about the same thing, but we all have passions for what we do.
To succeed in this role, you are eager to learn and have a drive that keeps you going even when faced with challenges. You are a "glass half-full" kind of person, you collaborate with others to get things done and you are a great communicator.
Some things are dear to our hearts and we hope you love the following stuff as much we do:
We love good projects. We are sure you have done some really cool stuff that you want to show us!
Joining Kindred you will be one of 1500 individuals uniting from more than 50 countries, even though we love a good Swenglish or Spanglish we have all agreed to use English in our daily work and expect you to do the same.
Joining the Kindred graduate program means working on exciting and challenging projects with cutting edge technology and starting to build a network from day one.
From the very start of your first six months of the program you will work directly in your team with support from your mentor, as well as on exciting projects with your fellow graduates. You'll take part in several tailored learning modules designed to help you develop your skills, grow as a person, and build strong relationships. As a group of graduates, we'll ensure you work together, to share experiences and challenges from your journey in a safe and secure environment. This experience will prepare you well for a bright future within Kindred Group.
The Boot Camp
We will kick start with a two-week Boot Camp designed to accelerate your start at Kindred.
Week 1: Focus will be on getting you settled in at Kindred and learn about our culture and our core values. What are they and why are they important to us and to you. You will also get to know your fellow graduates and the colleagues that will support you on your journey.
Week 2: During the second week we will focus on the business. How do we achieve success? What is success? What are the different parts of the company and what do they do? How do we work within Tech? Our products, learning by playing.
The 6 months Program
During the remaining time you will mainly be working in your team towards becoming a fully contributing team-member. You will be doing On the Job Training by gradually doing more and more complex tasks related to the team responsibility. You will do this in close collaboration with and supported by your mentor.
