Besedo provides solutions for improved user experience and fraud prevention on internet, primarily with User Generated Content (UGC). Our clients are leading online companies in classifieds, dating, social networking, media, and games, for whom safety and consumer confidence is crucial. We help people to safely meet and make transactions online. Besedo was founded in 2002, has around 600 employees, and continues to grow. We are located in Sweden, Malta, Colombia, Mauritius and Malaysia, and provide our services in 17 different languages.
Besedo is expanding rapidly and needs to strengthen the Stockholm core development team with a Javascript Developer specialized in node.js & AngularJS. We are developing systems to moderate and detect fraud in user generated content, such as classified ads, dating profiles, social media, etc.
Role description
You will be a key person in the core development team and will use node.js, AngularJS, MongoDB and Docker in your daily work. Since we are strong believers in micro architectures and API driven development, this will act as a foundation for you to create scalable and maintainable systems. Scrum will also play a big part of your work life since we are advocating a very agile mindset with open communication. On the R&D side you will be researching machine learning and other technologies that will help us achieve our targets.
Qualifications
You are a driven person that uses both your technical expertise and your strong engagement to start activities and reach your goals. You are also an appreciated team member and understand that shared expertise and knowledge is the key to success. Problem solving is an important part of your work and you continuously keep yourself updated with new technology and innovative solutions. You should have a couple of years practicing software development at companies that develops web based solutions. We are looking for the real deal, and therefore is a university diploma meriting but not a requirement, your skills and attitude are the most important!
Requirements
• Web development experience in JavaScript
• Database experience with SQL or NoSQL
• Fluent in English, both speech and writing
