We are now looking for a Software Engineer with focus on image processing to join our Core Technologies Imaging Platforms team within Research & Development.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a Software Engineer focusing on camera functionality you will join a highly skilled and experienced team that drives the camera platform development within Axis. We work in small efficient projects where we integrate imaging components (optics, sensors, processing etc) and develop and tune image processing algorithms and features. As market leader in network video Axis puts great effort and focus on imaging, and you together with the imaging team will make sure our innovations continues and further strengthens our position.
Your main tasks will be to:
* Drive architectural improvements of the imaging control software, as well as defining architecture for coming platforms.
* Design and implement features and algorithms for image processing.
* Work as an interface towards other parts of the R&D organization in questions related to the imaging module.
* Define and implement methodology for development and test, ways of working, best practices.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe you have a Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or similar. You enjoy programming, especially programming for embedded systems taking into account the details and limitations of the HW platform. You are fluent in C and script languages in a Linux environment. You like to work on all levels, defining architecture as well as low level debugging. As a senior software engineer you are also expected to help and guide our
more junior engineers.
The role as Software Engineer is collaborative and requires the ability to interact with many people inside and outside the organization. You have good communication skills and are fluent in both Swedish and English, both written and verbal. You have a natural strong drive and high level of ambitions, but still you are humble and easy to interact with.
THE TEAM
The Core Technologies Imaging Platforms team is a team is responsible for development of imaging processing platforms on which the product development organization builds cameras. The platforms integrate image processing with the optics systems and sensor technology. The team is also a competence center for the R&D organization in areas of image processing, sensor technology and optics.
